IN THIS LESSON

Crypto wallets.

A crypto wallet stores your digital assets and interacts with blockchains.

There are two main types: hot wallets and offline cold wallets.

-Hot wallets are convenient but vulnerable to hacks

-Cold wallets offer maximum security for long-term holdings.

Every wallet has a private key. A secret code that proves ownership. You should never share this key.

You can share public address. It's like a bank account number.

Exchanges (Coinbase, Binance) act as intermediaries for trading crypto.

When exchanging cryptos, you do not control the private keys unless you withdraw to a self-custody wallet.
